Lessons for Children & Teens

Learning the piano is a gradual process that requires consistent practice between lessons. This practice is crucial for refining the skills learned.

In my studio, I collaborate with each student and their family to set achievable goals. We work together to meet these goals and celebrate each success! I employ a variety of teaching tools, including games and activities, and give students the chance to plan the order of their activities before each lesson begins.

Students can participate in piece challenges, studio challenges, composer studies, rhythm challenges, practice challenges, performance opportunities, and composing opportunities. For those interested in exams, both in-person and video options are available for piano and music theory. All performances are voluntary.

Parents play a vital role in encouraging practice and progress between lessons. I work closely with each family to help achieve and celebrate the student’s learning and growth.
