Learning piano online
You don’t need to be very techy to have a piano lesson online and usually don’t need to buy any new equipment! All you need is a mobile phone, or tablet/laptop that can be set up to show a view of your instrument and yourself. (One of my students sits her laptop on her ironing board and it’s the perfect height!).
I’ve been teaching online since 2018 and have 2 webcams set up so I can demonstrate at the keyboard to give you an overhead view as well as directly on camera so you can see where to put your fingers. All students have the same licensed copies of music as I do.
Teaching virtually is something I love to do – it really encourages great communication and I teach this way to a number of students each week.
For theory I use an education app and I also work with students on practice videos through that app or facebook messenger.
